🏛️Governance and Decentralization
HeliChain understands the significance of progressive decentralization as a core principle within blockchain networks. Until HeliChain achieves a level of decentralization deemed sufficient, the Core team assumes responsibility for overseeing the network through their control of the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). This ensures network stability and establishes the groundwork for future decentralization efforts.
Within the DAO, the Heli team holds authority over critical functions such as adjusting validator numbers, regulating governance parameters, and determining the proportion of block rewards and transaction fees to be burned. As the network advances, the DAO membership will steadily expand, fostering a more decentralized decision-making process.
Once an adequate level of decentralization is attained, early HeliChain token holders are entrusted with the duty of fostering a community that shares the vision of HeliChain and believes in the network's sustainability. HeliChain embraces diversity and welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds and ideologies, united by the common objective of establishing a secure, scalable, and decentralized digital currency that promotes freedom, transparency, and self-sovereignty within the internet landscape.
Progressive decentralization encompasses more than just consensus-level aspects within the governance structure of the entire HeliChain network. While initial limits on decentralization may be necessary during the DAO's inception to ensure a smooth launch and establish product-market fit, DAO will increasingly rely on community participation as the network expands. Over time, the broader HeliChain community will assume control over all governance functions, including the management of the HeliChain Treasury.
